Seminyak

Seminyak is a beach resort just north of Kuta that is known for its luxury establishments and its mixed international crowd.

Although it's one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island, Seminyak is a quiet, tranquil beach resort for those looking to steer clear of the party scene in Kuta. It's an upmarket, expensive area of Bali with exclusive hotels, spas, fine dining and designer shopping, popular among expatriates, couples and families.

Seminyak mainly hosts chilled-out beach and spa holidays and doesn't boast of the wealth of activities in places like Ubud. That being said, there are some fun things you can do between sunbathing sessions. If you're looking for cultural activities, head to Petitenget Temple or Biasa ArtSpace. For family fun, head to Dream Museum Zone or Escape Room Bali. You can also enjoy horse riding, surfing and a range of other water sports on its beaches.

Check out the Seminyak Square shopping centre for a supermarket with international products as well as several cafés and restaurants.
